HOLY COW...it is hot. Yesterday we finished leaf pulling and hedging the vineyard and man was it hot. The temperatures are suppose to reach 98°-99° with a heat index over 100° this weekend. We will net the Cab Sauv. this week because the birds are mad that they can't get into the Merlot so now they are attacking the Cab Sauv.
Why are these high temperatures good and bad.
1.It is really to hot for any mildew to grow-GOOD
2.The grapes are starting to ripen early-BAD
