2011 Jamison-Paul Vineyard

2011 season is now here and our Merlot buds are about to pop while our Cab Sauv. are still asleep. Last year 30% of the Merlot had already popped by now so it won't be long. We finished up with the winter pruning (2 weeks ago), gotten up all the cuttings (thanks to our new landscaping rake) and sprayed the dormant vines with liquid-lime sulfur (5 gallons of liquid-lime sulfur to 50 gallons of water per 1/2 acre) to kill of any diseases that overwintered in the bark of the wood.
