Wow...The Bees were MEAN today!!! Today has been the 7th day since we treated the hives with Mite Away so I haven't been in them since last Tuesday and the way today went I should have waited 7 more days. Well, I have one hive that is behind the other hive so I took 3 frames of honey from the hive that is doing good and gave it to the hive that is behind and the girls did not like this. They covered me and wouldn't get off...they stung me in both ankles, arms and through the vent hole in my hat. I had to leave my truck at the hives and walk back to the vineyard just a shaking and brushing the bees off of me and once I got my suit off they were still on my socks and I think up my pants leg. I bet I got stung close to 20 times today!!!
Vines are still asleep and we are almost done pruning. We have two more rows left to finish pruning, so we should get this completed this weekend. We have several line post that have came loose so we will repair them as well as tie up some of the cordons that have come loose.
